Expert to Expert: Harry Shum - General Purpose Search, Decision Engines and Bing

3rd post about Bing already. Yup, I’m absolutely a big fan of Bing.

If you have ever been working in MSRA during Harry Shum’s tenure, I bet you’d remember his good sense of humor. Although he looked a bit tired in this channel 9 interview, he covered many interesting challenges. You don’t want to miss it if you love things like “Semantic Search”.

Bing amazed me at the beginning. It makes me wonder “why exactly do I search with these keywords?”. Yeah, I hope that it can be more and more clever in terms of knowing what exactly I want to achieve out of those searches.

By the way, Harry also mentioned “real time searching”, and later I found that Bing added Twitter into the results.
